The East Rockingham Waste-to-Energy project is a 300,000 tonne facility under construction in Rockingham south of Perth. This facility is set to deliver environmental, economic and social benefits to the broader Perth community.
The facility will have a net capacity to generate 29 MW of green electricity to the electrical gird every year, enough to power 36,000 households and other essential services.

Mitigating the effects of climate change, the plant will treat residual waste from municipal, commercial and industrial sources. It will also recover around 73,800 tonnes of bottom ash every year, which will be processed and used in road bases and other construction materials.

This project is a step in the right direction to creating a circular economy which both the community and planet can reap the benefits of.
